Roblox Halloween 2026

Is there a Roblox Halloween event this year?

Not yet. As of 28 September 2026, Roblox has not announced a platform-wide Halloween event for 2026. Last year's, the Halloween Spotlight, was announced on the day it started and ran from 23 October 2025 to 3 November 2025 (Roblox newsroom), so a late-October start with no advance notice would not be unusual. This page will be updated when Roblox confirms anything. Until then, treat any "leaked date" video as a guess.

The Spotlight is only half of Roblox Halloween, and the smaller half. Individual games run their own Halloween updates every year whether or not Roblox holds a platform event, and those are already being scheduled. Those are listed next, with their start times.

How the Halloween Spotlight worked last year

In 2025 the Spotlight was built around a haunted forest hub. More than 30 Halloween-themed games took part, and each gave you quests to complete. Finishing them earned two kinds of token: runes, which opened the regular paths through the forest, and keys, which came from harder quests and opened the elite paths. Each path unlocked exclusive avatar items, and a final challenge sat at the end for players who cleared everything.

Two lessons from that run are worth knowing before this year's. First, the keys came from the harder quests, so if you want the full set of rewards, start those early instead of saving them for the last weekend of a two-week event. Second, the rewards were free. Nobody needs your password or Robux to "unlock" a Halloween item for you. Every offer like that is an attempt to steal your account.

A Roblox costume for real-life Halloween

The most recognisable Roblox costume is still the noob, the default avatar from the early years. It needs no merch: a yellow face (face paint or a yellow mask), yellow arms or long gloves, a plain blue T-shirt and green trousers. For the full blocky look, add a cardboard box over your head painted yellow with the classic smile. Anyone who has played Roblox will recognise it straight away.

Other easy ones: Bacon Hair (a brown, swept-over wig with the classic smile), a Guest (a black cap and black top with the Roblox logo), or a character from a game you play. Doors and 99 Nights in the Forest monsters are popular and look good in the dark. Shop-bought Roblox costumes exist, but the homemade noob is cheaper and usually gets the bigger reaction.

Building a Halloween map?

If you are making your own spooky experience or decorating a house in a roleplay game, you need sounds and images too. Our sound effects IDs include screams, creaks and ambience with a live working/not-working check on each one, and cursed and creepy decals cover posters, faces and wall textures.
