How to Get Voice Chat on Roblox

Voice chat lets you talk in supported Roblox experiences instead of typing. It is off by default and gated behind an age check, which is where most people get stuck. Here is the whole path.
1. Check you meet the age requirement
Voice chat is only available on accounts age-checked as 13 or older. If your account birthday says you are younger, voice chat will not appear as an option at all.
2. Complete an age check
Open Settings, then Account Info, and start an age check. Roblox accepts two methods: Facial Age Estimation, a short video selfie, or ID Verification, where you scan a government photo ID. Phone verification does not count. Either check usually finishes within a few minutes.
3. Connect to voice in an experience
There is no voice switch in your account settings. Once you are age-checked, join an experience that supports voice and click the headphone icon, or open the in-experience settings menu and use the Voice Chat toggle. On PlayStation it is in the in-experience settings.
4. Join a voice-enabled experience
Not every game supports voice. Where it is supported you get a headphone icon to connect, and a separate microphone control to mute and unmute yourself. Voice only connects you to players in similar age groups unless you are trusted friends.
