How to Get Voice Chat on Roblox
Voice chat lets you talk in supported Roblox experiences instead of typing. It is off by default and gated behind age verification, which is where most people get stuck. Here is the whole path.
1. Check you meet the age requirement
Voice chat is only available on accounts verified as 13 or older. If your account birthday says you are younger, voice chat will not appear as an option at all.
2. Verify your age
Open Roblox settings and find the verification section. Roblox verifies age with a government ID scan or, in some regions, a phone number and a video selfie check. Follow the prompts — verification usually completes within a few minutes.
3. Turn the voice chat toggle on
Once verified, go to Settings, then Privacy. Find the option to use your microphone with voice chat and switch it on. If you do not see the toggle, verification has not completed yet.
4. Join a voice-enabled experience
Not every game supports voice. Games that do show a microphone icon by your character. Tap it to unmute yourself, and tap other players to adjust their volume.
