Best Roblox Simulator Games
Pet, fishing, mining and clicker simulators, ranked by live players.
A Roblox simulator is a progression loop with the friction removed. You do one simple action — click, mine, fish, hatch — a number goes up, and the number unlocks a place where the number goes up faster. It is the most commercially successful format on the platform and, fairly, the most criticised, because the same skeleton is reskinned hundreds of times a year.
That makes the ranking below more useful than usual. Player count is a brutal filter in this genre: a simulator with a genuinely good loop keeps tens of thousands of people in it for years, while the reskins spike for a fortnight and die. Everything near the top of this list has survived that test.

How to tell a good simulator from a reskin
Look at whether the second hour is different from the first. A well-built simulator changes what you are doing as you progress — new mechanics unlock, trading opens up, the optimisation problem gets more interesting. A reskin just multiplies the numbers, so hour two is hour one with more zeroes, and you feel it immediately.
The other thing worth checking is whether progress is tradeable or social. The simulators with real staying power almost all have a player economy — pets, items or currency that people trade — because that gives the grind a point beyond the counter. Simulators with no trading and no social layer are the ones that empty out fastest, whatever their launch numbers looked like.
Where to start
Pick the biggest one in a theme you actually like, rather than the newest one with the flashiest thumbnail. Simulators are almost entirely front-loaded on marketing, so the new release at the top of the Roblox charts is usually the one with the least content behind it. The games that have held five-figure player counts for years are there because the loop works.
Be aware going in that most simulators sell time. Nearly all of them offer paid multipliers, and a few are balanced around you buying them. The like ratios below are a decent guide to which ones cross the line.
How this ranking is put together
Every game here comes from our own Roblox catalogue, which refreshes several times a day. A game qualifies as a simulator on keyword signals from its name and description plus Roblox’s own genre label where that label is actually meaningful — it is not, for most modern games, which is why we do not rely on it alone.
The order is live concurrent players, highest first. We also drop anything whose like ratio has fallen below 50% where Roblox gives us vote counts, because a game people are actively downvoting does not belong on a “best” list however busy it is. Like ratio is shown per game where it is available; Roblox does not publish vote counts for every experience, so some rows show players and visits only.
Player counts are a snapshot, not an average, so a game can move several places between visits — that is the point. Live Roblox player stats →
Frequently asked questions
What is a simulator game on Roblox?
A game built around a repeating action that increases a counter — clicking, mining, fishing, hatching pets — where the counter unlocks upgrades that make the action faster. Despite the name they do not simulate anything in the conventional sense; the genre name comes from early clicker games and stuck.
Why are there so many Roblox simulators?
Because the format is cheap to build and reliably profitable. The core loop is a solved problem, so a developer can ship a new theme on top of proven mechanics quickly. That is also why the quality range is so wide, and why player count over time is the most honest signal you have.
Do you need to spend Robux to progress in a simulator?
In the better ones, no — paid multipliers speed things up but you can reach the endgame without them. In the worse ones progression is tuned so that free play stalls at a wall you are meant to buy past. Like ratio is the most reliable public signal for which is which, since players downvote hard paywalls consistently.
Do simulators have codes?
More than almost any other genre. Simulator developers use codes as an update and milestone reward, so the big ones publish new codes regularly — usually currency, boosts or pets. Any game on this list with working codes has a Codes link on its row.
What is the biggest Roblox simulator?
It changes, which is why this page ranks by live players rather than naming one. Pet-collecting simulators have held the top of the genre for several years, but the ordering below is generated from current player counts rather than from reputation.
Are simulators worth playing?
If you enjoy optimisation, yes — the good ones are genuinely satisfying puzzles about where to spend a limited resource. If you are looking for skill expression or a story, this is the wrong genre and an obby or an RPG will serve you better.
