Robux to USD
There is no single Robux exchange rate — there are three, and they disagree by more than 3×. Here they are side by side.
Robux → USD
USD → Robux
The three rates, and who each one is for
Retail — 80 to 113 Robux per dollar. What Roblox charges to buy Robux. The rate improves with pack size, which is the whole reason the tier table below is worth reading before you spend.
Market — about 213 Robux of item value per dollar, with the middle of the book between 146 and 269. This is the one nobody else publishes: we read live cash asks on 563 limited items and take the median of RAP ÷ price. It sits between the other two, which is exactly where a functioning secondary market should sit.
DevEx — 286 Robux per dollar, or $0.0035 each. What Roblox pays a creator to cash out. Earned Robux only, 30,000 minimum.
Put together: a dollar buys roughly 80–113 Robux and returns 286 Robux-worth on the way out. Money flows into the platform at one price and leaves at another, and the 30% marketplace fee applies in between.

Prices are the US web tiers, checked 19 August 2026. Buying through the iOS or Android app costs more — the app stores take their own cut. The Premium bonus is worth most on the mid-size packs: +25% on the $4.99, $9.99 and $14.99 tiers, against +12.5% on the $2.99 one and +6.7% on the $199.99. That runs against the usual logic, so if you have Premium the cheap packs are no longer the bad deal they are without it.
Common questions
Three different answers, all correct. Buying 1,000 Robux from Roblox costs $8.89 to $12.49 depending on pack size. 1,000 Robux of item value trades for about $4.69 on the secondary market. A developer cashing out through DevEx receives $3.50 — though DevEx has a 30,000 Robux minimum, so 1,000 cannot be cashed out at all.
That gap is Roblox's business model. You buy in at roughly $0.0125–$0.0089 per Robux and developers cash out at $0.0035 per Robux — a spread of about 3.6×. The platform keeps the difference, on top of the 30% marketplace fee on every sale.
The Developer Exchange — Roblox's official route for turning earned Robux into real money. It pays $0.0035 per Robux, requires a minimum of 30,000 Robux, and is open only to verified creators aged 13+ with Premium. Robux you bought cannot be cashed out — only Robux you earned.
No single one. Roblox publishes a purchase price and a DevEx payout rate, and they are an order of magnitude apart. Anything in between is a market price, not an official rate.
Not directly, and not within Roblox's terms — DevEx is the only sanctioned cash-out and it is for earned Robux only. A secondary market exists for limited items, which is where the market rate on this page comes from, but trading Robux itself for cash risks your account.
