How to Delete a Roblox Account

Roblox has no delete button in settings — account removal goes through a formal request to Roblox support. Before you start, know that deletion is permanent: Robux, limiteds and purchases are all destroyed with the account.

1. Decide: delete or abandon

If you just want to stop playing, logging out and walking away costs nothing and keeps your items in case you return. Deletion is for when you want your data erased.

2. Spend or transfer nothing first — it does not work

Robux and items cannot be transferred to another account, and selling for real money breaks Roblox’s terms. Anything left on the account is simply lost.

3. Contact Roblox support with a right-to-erasure request

Use the official support form and ask for account deletion under data protection law. Parents can request deletion of a child’s account. You will need to prove you own the account — the email or phone on file does this.

4. Wait out the process

Roblox confirms the request by email and processes the erasure. Expect up to 30 days. Trying to log in during this window may cancel the request, so stay logged out.

Common questions

Can I get a deleted account back?

No. Once processed, deletion is final — username, items and history are gone. If you are unsure, deactivate by logging out instead.

Does an inactive account get deleted automatically?

No. Roblox keeps inactive accounts indefinitely; your items remain until you delete the account or it is banned.
