Roblox Error Code 280 — What It Means & How to Fix It
Error code 280 means your Roblox client is out of date. Error 280 means the game server requires a newer Roblox version than the one you are running. The fix is always the same: update.
1. Restart the app
Roblox updates itself on launch. Close it completely (check the system tray on PC) and reopen.
2. Update from the store
On mobile and Xbox, updates come through the App Store, Play Store or console store — open the store page and press update if it is showing.
3. Reinstall if stuck
