Questions about these charts
It is 100 minus the coefficient of variation: the standard deviation of a game’s hourly player count over the last seven days, divided by its mean, as a percentage. A game whose crowd barely moves scores near 100; one whose count swings by as much as its own average scores near 0. The formula is stated here rather than hidden because a score nobody can check is a score nobody should trust.
Because without a floor this chart would be a lie by arithmetic. A game sitting at three players every hour has almost no standard deviation and would score a perfect 100, topping the stability chart while being close to empty. The floor keeps the ranking to games with a real crowd to hold or lose.
It means a dependable one. A high score says the game has roughly the same number of people in it whenever you log on, which is what matters for anything needing other players — trading, team modes, or a populated server at an odd hour. It says nothing about whether the game is growing, which the movement charts cover.
Seven days, and only games with at least 6.5 days of readings and 100 hourly samples qualify — a partial window wearing a weekly label would be worse than no chart. Our hourly readings began on 17 August 2026, so nothing here reaches further back than that, and the page will not pretend otherwise.
