How to Play Roblox on a Chromebook
Chromebooks run Roblox through the Android app rather than a desktop install. On a personal Chromebook that takes two minutes; on a school-managed one it is usually blocked, and there is no honest way around an administrator’s policy.
1. Enable the Play Store
Open Chromebook settings and find the Google Play Store section. Turn it on. Older or very low-end Chromebooks without Play Store support cannot run Roblox natively.
2. Install Roblox from the Play Store
Search for Roblox in the Play Store and install it like a phone app. Log in with your usual account.
3. Fix performance
In Roblox settings, lower the graphics quality slider. Chromebook GPUs are modest, and most lag disappears at reduced quality. Closing other tabs helps more than you would expect.
4. On school Chromebooks
Administrators commonly block the Play Store and game sites. That block is a policy decision by the school — workarounds break school rules and often get accounts or devices flagged, so we do not recommend or document them.

Roblox’s cloud-gaming beta has come and gone in various regions. When available it appears on the official Roblox site — anything else claiming browser Roblox is a scam.
Most Chromebooks have low-power chips. Lower the in-game graphics setting, close spare tabs, and prefer smaller games over huge open worlds.
