How to Get a Refund on Roblox
Checked against how Roblox works on .
Roblox’s refund policy is stricter than people hope: Robux spent on items is gone, accidental purchases included. But there are real refund paths for the cases that matter — paid-access experiences, real-money charges and unauthorised spending.
1. The one self-serve refund
Items bought with Robux, in the shop or inside a game, are not refundable — Roblox says plainly there is no way to get those Robux back. The single self-serve exception is an experience you paid for in local currency: open its page and choose Request Refund within 48 hours of your first purchase.
2. Subscriptions and Robux bought with real money
Refunds for real-money purchases go through wherever you paid. Roblox support handles card, PayPal and Google Play charges. Anything bought through Apple, Microsoft, Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon, Meta or Samsung has to be refunded by that store — Roblox cannot touch them. Subscription renewals themselves are non-refundable either way.
3. Unauthorised charges
If a child or a stranger spent without permission, contact Roblox support (or the app store) promptly with the charge details. Roblox describes its policy here as permissive, but repeated claims on the same account get it flagged, and accounts tied to unauthorised charges can be deleted.
4. Deleted or broken items
If an item you bought is moderated or pulled by its creator, Roblox warns it may not be eligible for a refund — contact support with your username and a link to the item and make the case. If a gamepass does not work, the game’s developer — not Roblox — is who to contact.
Common questions
Usually not — gamepass sales are final and the money goes to the game’s developer. Some developers refund voluntarily if you ask politely.
A chargeback usually also gets the Roblox account banned, and once a charge is disputed Roblox can no longer refund it directly. Use the proper refund route first — chargebacks are the nuclear option.
